As Darius’s family continues their tireless search, they’re using their own resources to raise awareness and share his story across the world. From hanging posters to organizing community events, they haven’t stopped for a single day. A GoFundMe has been set up to help support their ongoing search efforts and keep Darius’s face in the public eye.

Momentum for Darius’s Law continues to grow. I recently joined Stacey Brotzel on 880 CHED Edmonton to talk about why Canada’s Amber Alert system must move from a “proof of abduction” model to an at-risk model—one that acts fast when a child is in danger, not after it’s too late.
Following recent features in the Calgary Herald, Winnipeg Sun, and other national outlets, the petition has now reached nearly 14,000 signatures, making it one of the fastest-growing Amber Alert reform efforts in Canada’s history.
This Saturday at Lethbridge City Hall, our community will come together for " A Night for Darius — an evening of light, love, and unity to honour six-year-old Darius MacDougall and his family. We will stand together, holding candles and hope, demanding that no family ever has to experience this nightmare again.

Canada’s Amber Alert system must evolve to protect children at risk near borders, highways, and remote areas where disappearances don't meet Canada's rigid Amber Alert criteria. The goal of Darius’s Law is simple: to save lives by giving police the power to issue alerts based on credible threats — not confirmed abductions.
The fight for reform continues — and so does the search for Darius.
