The Bulla Road/Bell Street exit, Tullamarine Freeway is very poorly designed and extremely dangerous. It is heavily congested (the majority of the time) with traffic often backing up on to the Freeway impeding the flow of traffic.

This is an accident waiting to happen, with the potential to cause a disastrous multi-car traffic collision as the Tullamarine Freeway is a high-speed route.

There is now only one lane off the Freeway for both exits. The lane itself is not a true exit lane. It does not flow and causes cars to dangerously back up on the Tullamarine Freeway.

It is nonsensical, the Bulla Road exit has always been congested, why would one then go and add more traffic to it by merging it with another busy exit, the Bell Street Exit?

This potential disaster can be and must be fixed as a matter of priority. One solution would be to widen the exit lane on the Tullamarine Freeway, or another (more logical solution) would be to have two separate exits, perhaps even re-opening the old Bell Street exit as it was much safer than the current set up.

I am urging the Victoria State Government, VicRoads and Linkt to make a change and fix this as a matter of urgency. Do something before there is a major collision where people suffer serious injuries and/or lives are lost.
