Yay! Thank you to all those that have signed and shared. If you have not shared yet, please do so! And if you have shared, please check in with your community to sign and share! The petition will be submitted as a public comment at the February 9th committee hearing. That gives us just under five days, so I really want to get as many supporters as possible. 

If you have already signed and shared to your hearts content, please consider participating in the [electronic] letter writing campaign. The campaign was even just referenced in a Washington Post article bringing even more good news - Jeff Bezos has asked the library to name the auditorium in honor of Toni Morrison, the first Black woman to receive the Nobel Prize in literature (perhaps after hearing word of the outrage...). 

However, an official decision this does not make. We are still waiting to hear anything from the DC Public Library Board of Trustees, so on with the petition we go!
