Due to the ongoing effects of the global COVID-19 pandemic, as well as many hardships and misfortunes that we are facing right now in the Caribbean, we, the students, believe that it would be unfair for us to also sit Paper 2 exams at CSEC and CAPE level. This is taking into account all that is going on in our region, such as the recent eruption of the La Soufrière volcano in St. Vincent and the subsequent evacuation of residents, many of whom are also secondary school students. We strongly believe that it would be to the benefit of all parties involved that the Paper 2 exams be omitted from the June 2021 CSEC and CAPE exams.
