Six Months Without My Cousin Today marks six months since Tamir was shot and killed by two local police officers Timothy Loehmann and Frank Gramback. These last six months have been the longest of my life. I’m broken, but not defeated. Our family, particularly Tamir’s mom, is trying to find the way forward. Each day, she desperately hopes that, that day will be the one when she will receive justice. All of our deep pain has been made so much worse by the fact that we’ve had no answers from the Cuyahoga County Sheriff’s Department to date. It’s been a nightmare that won’t go away because gaining closure has been so hard. I pray that we can get justice in this case very soon, so we can begin the real healing process. I can’t and won’t rest until Tamir’s killers face justice. People in our community and around the country are fired up and want change. Today, please take a moment today to remember Tamir and all those who have lost their lives due to police violence. Thank you for your continued support of our family.
