Exciting News: Tonight, Dean Ryan (Contraband Films owner), announced the following with Marisol Medina:
"I've been approached by the tiny houses for the homeless movement to spearhead a rally in front of LA City Council March 18th.
My goal is to provide awareness and compassion to the needy who need shelter while shinning a light on the UN Agenda 21 that is stealing our sovereignty and displacing thousands.
Join the fight with me & my friends while we come together to Fight the Power."
Now, if you are wondering what the UN Agenda 21 is – brace yourself. The following talk, published on September 30th, 2015, features David Icke, an English writer and public speaker: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=StcO_Nma5NA
Note: It appears that the "2030 Agenda for Sustainable Development" is simply Agenda 21 re-written with a new title. Source: OBAMA ANNOUNCES 2030 AGENDA - Agenda 21 Turns Into 2030 Agenda. UN Adopts New Global Goals https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Q25YPvQuHKs
Another "to the point" presentation I stumbled upon: http://americanfreedomwatchradio.com/wp-content/uploads/2011/09/Agenda-21-Presentation2.pdf
Seriously, I've never been one to gravitate towards conspiracy theories. I'm a "show-me-the-proof" person. However, the details within these documents ARE worrisome. And we need to fight to protect every member of society and their rights (no matter where they live).
What galls me: HOW can someone in a position of power (Curren Price) look at one of these Tiny Homes and relable them "BULK TRASH"???
Just as Sharon McNair of Chicago, IL stated:
"Because a roof over a human beings head is a right, not a privilege. The constituents of this district need to open their hearts. These houses cost nothing to the taxpayer. When it comes to homelessness, exactly what is, "up to code?"
And I'd also like to give a shout out to my friends and fellow InfoBarrel writers: http://roserightswrongs.blogspot.ca/p/blog-page.html who have supported this (and other petitions of mine).
Melanie Wilcox who was the first one who alerted me to David Wolfe's video Los Angeles Is Seizing Tiny Homes From Homeless People: https://www.facebook.com/DavidAvocadoWolfe/videos/10153320928161512/?pnref=story
Melanie is currently launching an exciting new venture Nature's Treasures: https://www.facebook.com/groups/1330395180305042/?pnref=story
Another dear Facebook friend of mine, Maxine Davis of Zanesville, OH wrote: "Shelter is a basic need for human beings. Homeless people are human beings. Why deprive them of shelter and offer no alternative? Outrageous!"
Jonathan Nielsen (aka TanoCalvenoa) of Corona, CA said: "It's insane to not allow the homeless to be helped. Between this and laws against feeding them, governments are screwing up bigtime. They're supposed to help the people, not prevent them from being helped."
Cynthia Wunsch (aka classicalgeek) added: "Social entrepreneurs need to feel that their efforts are making a difference. Summers has taken it upon himself to solve a problem for the city, but it's clear the city receives some benefit from having people homeless instead of living in safety--otherwise this wouldn't be happening."
Lesley Hebert (aka HLesley) who has always been in my corner. She adds supportive comments (just when I need it most). For example, she left this one on my Google Plus post reminding us all that "homelessness is also a health and safety problem."
And of course, elite author Vic Dillinger: http://www.infobarrel.com/Users/vicdillinger who has been a cornerstone on InfoBarrel and who has helped countless authors.
Lastly, here are some comments from people who know exactly what it feels like to be homeless (or who cares about someone who is):
"Because my family was homeless for over a year and know what it feels like." ~ Linda Moon, California City, CA
"I'm a single mom, and while pregnant I was homeless myself."~ Monica Bryan, San Diego, CA
"I know how easy it is to become homeless. I lost my job to outsourcing after not having a raise for 10 yrs. People are not homeless by choice." ~ Virginia Holt, Westland, MI
"I have a son who is homeless and every person deserves a place to live." ~ Elizabeth Sumner, Jacksonville, FL
"I was once homeless." ~ Tiffanie Sullivan, Los Angeles, CA
What saddens me? The over 44,359 people in LA who are homeless probably have no means to even sign this petition (no address or no computer access). Does anyone have any ideas for how we can change that?
Respectfully yours,
Rose
