While a lot of us are very upset with the format change, we are determined to make a statement to Cumulus-Saginaw that their decision to change WHNN to a newer music format was the wrong choice.
We all know that there are several "other" radio stations that play newer music. So the logic-defying question is "Why?"
Why did Cumulus-Saginaw decide to change WHNN?
Why must WHNN sound like all of the other stations?
Down in Southeast Michigan, half a dozen radio stations in the Detroit area play 80s to now, but only one radio station stays committed to playing those oldies we love to hear time and again: 104.3 FM WOMC.
Why has WOMC not changed? Because everyone else plays the 80s to now. And WOMC commemorates the "Legends of Motown" like the Four Tops, Aretha Franklin and other oldies singers from Detroit.
So let's tell Cumulus-Saginaw to take a lesson from Detroit:
Bring back those oldies; stand out from the rest of the local stations, and commemorate those brought us timeless classics!
