I want to start off by saying thank you. I am a 16-year-old Junior in high school. I never in a million years did I think that this petition would reach this far and have such an amazing effect. I am completely overwhelmed and in shock by the amount of support we've gained in the last few days. So from the bottom of my heart thank you.
On another note, I'd like to update you all on the last CUHSD board meeting. Last Thursday CUHSD (Campbell Union Highschool District) had a board meeting where CHSTA (Campbell High School Teachers Association) presented the board with a vote of no confidence. 380 teachers signed the letter which can be found here. Teachers expressed a lack of confidence in Superintendant Bravo, in his power to lead the district.
Despite the overwhelming teacher opposition, the board chose to extend Superintendant Bravo's tenure through 2024 with no discussion. The student board members, Allison Lubins and Ainsely Bateman were the only board members who voted no. The rest of the board unanimously voted "aye" without comment. Teachers, students, and parents in the room were completely horrified by the board's decision. Many said it felt like a slap in the face.

The next board meeting is on December 2nd, at 3235 Union Avenue, San Jose CA 95124. Picketing starts outside at 5 and the meeting starts at 6. It is imperative we get as many people as possible to attend the meeting. If you do attend the meeting please wear red in solidarity with our teachers.
