Stop removal of Critical Ops from the Asia Region's App Stores

The Issue

The developers of the popular mobile FPS game, Critical Ops, are allowing Korean developers, in this case NHN Corporation, to make a sub-standard version of their game; Critical Ops: Reloaded, and are allowing that to effectively replace the original version in 12 countries in Asia, namely China, Hong Kong, India, Indonesia, Japan, Macao, Malaysia, Philippines, Singapore, South Korea, Taiwan, Thailand and Vietnam. The population of these 12 countries make up more than 70% of Asia's population.

Players from these 12 countries are being forced to migrate their accounts to Critical Ops: Reloaded, in the process losing most of the weapon skins originally on their accounts, skins they have spent tens of dollars, if not hundreds, and in some cases thousands, on.

The main reasons as to why so many players are unhappy with this decision are as follows:

- We are being forced to migrate from the Global version to C-OPS reloaded. And when we migrate, what happens? Some of us lose tens of dollars worth of skins, some of us lose hundreds, and some of us lose thousands. We paid for these skins IN the global version, and now we’re being FORCED to lose them. It’s basically a next level scam

- To those who say we aren’t forced to migrate? They’re pulling the global version from the 12 Asian countries mentioned, so we will no longer be able to update it to future versions. It’s a forced migration, no two ways about it.

- There was literally no action taken to get the feedback of whether Asian players would want this. This was a selfish, ill-informed decision.

-When the option to migrate came out, there was no mention in the option at all that the migration would cost the loss of skins, or that the account on the global version would be frozen afterwards. This was poor planning at its finest. Players were not fully informed of the consequences.

- The Reloaded version has been two years in the making, yet it has literally 0 anti-cheat and less than half the skins in the global version despite much of it being derived from the global version, other than some graphic and UI tweaks. Servers are laggy, and game is extremely buggy overall.

- The so-called “refund” in Critical Ops; Reloaded, (consisting of some in-game currency) in many cases, is barely 10% of what the player loses.

This is no doubt an unfair decision by Critical Force Oy. Sign the petition today. Help us hit our goal of 10,000. Show them that we will not go quietly into the night, we will not vanish without a fight, we will fight on, for our basic consumer rights.
