Studies from the University of Pennsylvania showcase that crime has been increasing significantly in the last 5 years in the United States specifically. These crimes can be especially worrisome to people with disabilities or senior citizens which is why it's important for them to learn to defend themselves. Personally, I saw hooligans wreck havoc on my streets, running donuts and assaulting an elderly neighbor around the cops. Studies by the American Psychological Association & National Crime Victimization Survey showcase how self-defense education drastically reduces the amount of individuals subject to crimes. This is a petition to increase self-defense programs in the United States for accessible for seniors and people with disabilities, especially as crimes are increasing.
