#notinmyknickers is an Australian campaign to create legislation to ensure all ingredients are listed on product labels of feminine hygiene products.

This is to ensure all women and girls know exactly what we are exposing our bodies to when we are using these products.  On average, a woman uses 11,400 tampons in her lifetime, that is exposure to potentially harmful ingredients 11,400 times. Let that sink in!!

The USA passed a bill in October 2019 '‘Menstrual Products Right To Know Act 2019' and Australia should follow suit to ensure we are not being exposed to  concerning chemicals like dioxins, fragrances, and allergens that are commonly used in pads, tampons and other feminine hygiene products including period underwear and menstrual cups.  It is important that we can make informed choices about the products we choose to use on our bodies and knowing that these are safe.

We have an opportunity to request the disclosure of these ingredients and to limit the harm on our bodies and the environment.
