I’ve now been officially removed from my GP practice. My previous letters to the Practice Manager were completely ignored, and that silence has been incredibly painful. I reached out for help while in deep distress, and instead of compassion, I was met with indifference.

There has been no accountability for how I was treated, and the stress of being ignored has only made my health worse. No patient should ever feel afraid to ask for help or be punished for speaking up.

This is why I believe there must be an independent body to handle complaints against GP staff. Patients deserve to be heard by someone who will listen — not by the same people who failed them in the first place.
