Create a social media advocacy group to protect from wrongful termination or shadowbaning.
The Issue
Introduction:
Social media has become an integral part of our lives, and it is now one of the most effective ways to communicate with people around the world and earn a living. However, social media platforms have been known to wrongfully terminate or shadowban users without any proper justification. This is a serious issue that needs to be addressed immediately.
Problem:
Wrongful termination or shadowbaning can happen for various reasons, including expressing unpopular opinions, criticizing powerful entities, or simply being a victim of cyberbullying. After careful investigation majority of shadow banned accounts are towards minorities, women, LGBTQ, and those who seek to be the voice of change in our society. These actions can have severe consequences on people's lives, businesses, and careers. The fate of our digital lives should not be handled by AI bots and META personnels who are not impartial to the system. META has become the Jury, Judge, and Verdict in all appeal process on their platform leaving very little room for justice and understanding.
Solution:
We need to create a social media advocacy group that will protect users from wrongful termination or shadowbaning. This group will work towards creating awareness about these issues and advocating for fair treatment of all users on social media platforms. Our end goal is to develop a system that will allow our users to have access to experienced social media lawyers and other activist that will fight on their behalf in an event of wrongful deactivation.
The advocacy group will also provide legal assistance to those who have been wrongfully terminated or shadowbanned. It will work witha network of experienced social media lawyers and other legal experts to ensure that justice is served in such cases.
Statistics:
According to a survey conducted by Pew Research Center in 2018, 62% of Americans get their news from social media platforms such as Facebook and Twitter. This shows how important these platforms are in our daily lives.
Another study conducted by Hootsuite revealed that there are over 3 billion active social media users worldwide as of January 2021. With such a vast user base, it is essential that we protect the rights of every user on these platforms.
Social media is our future, and our children’s children future! It is how they will learn, interact, work and communicate with others. It is important we begin now to persevere and protect their digital rights and footprints from Tech Tyrants who seek throw their weight around by imposing control, crippling, and silencing anyone who doesn’t adhere to their agenda.
Conclusion:
Creating a social media advocacy group is crucial in protecting users' rights on these platforms. We need to ensure that everyone has equal opportunities for expression without fear of wrongful termination or shadowbaning based on their views or opinions. Let us come together and demand fair treatment for all social media users!
