Create a modern public park in Clermont, Florida
The Issue
My name is Olivia, and I’m turning 13 soon. I love skateboarding, but nearby skateparks are either too far away, closed, or made of metal and too hot to use in the summer. Clermont, Florida is growing rapidly, but it lacks a modern space for skateboarding and other recreational activities. I believe that Clermont should have a new public park with a skatepark and multi-use areas for everyone to enjoy. Such a park would give kids, teens, and families a safe place to stay active and have fun together.
A new park in Clermont would not only provide a dedicated space for skateboarding, but also encourage residents of all ages to engage in healthy lifestyles and connect with others. Skateboarding is an excellent way to build skills, stay fit, and meet new friends, and having a local park would support these opportunities for personal and social development among Clermont's youth.
Currently, many families have to travel far distances to find suitable recreational spaces. By building a new park in our hometown, we can reduce the need for travel, which saves time and money and contributes positively to the local economy. Moreover, a public park acts as a community hub where people can participate in a variety of activities, from athletics to social gatherings, promoting a sense of belonging and unity among residents.
Moreover, studies have shown that community parks not only enhance the quality of life but also increase property values and attract new residents which strengthens ties within the neighborhood. Clermont deserves a park that reflects its energy and growth, showcasing its commitment to providing a vibrant and inclusive environment for everyone.
Creating this park is not just about skateboarding—it's about building a better community for today and for future generations. Let us come together to make this vision a reality. Please sign this petition to support the creation of a modern public park in Clermont, Florida, and contribute to shaping a healthier and more connected community.
