The Issue

Every year, in the United States alone, a staggering 460,000 children go missing and nearly every minute  , someone in the U.S. is sexually assaulted. Every nine minutes, that someone is a child. and countless others suffer in silence from physical abuse. I am one of those who grew up holding onto hope amidst the chaos of foster care taken away due to neglect and abuse at 12, then groomed for one year and When I was 13,I found what I thought was a new loving guardian,  but my foster father turned out to be my abuser! The scars of past abuses have stayed with me. I know firsthand the profound impact it can have on a young life. The shame, fear and crushing helplessness.

If I can save just one child from enduring what I experienced, it would be worth every effort.
The trauma of child abuse causes children to lose their sense of safety and trust in the world, and harms their relationships. Left untreated, the trauma of child abuse can lead to:

Mental health problems like depression, anxiety and PTSD symptoms;
Behavioral changes like substance use disorders, risky sexual behaviors, or increased risk for violence against oneself and others.

With 1 in 4 girls and 1 in 13 boys are estimated to be experiencing child sexual abuse before turning 18.

This is why I am passionately advocating for the creation of a simple, powerful solution: the 333 Hotline - 333("Don't Touch Me.") Our goal is to create a 3-digit SOS line similar to 911, which children as young as 3 or 4 could easily remember and access. This line would be a lifeline for children to seek help and protection. And simply being believed. By dialing 333, children should be able to alert responders in the safest way possible, even from devices without active service, thanks to location services technology. Also turning on recording capabilities to use as future evidence in prosecution..

We need this specialized resource for children — one that understands their unique vulnerabilities, offers unwavering support, and provides immediate rescue. It truly takes a whole village to protect our children, and through this hotline, we can show that we're committed to breaking the silence and taking a stand against abuse. It's time to say enough; we're here to help them claim back their bodies and lives.

Join us in ensuring that these voices are heard. Sign this petition to urge lawmakers and government agencies to establish the 333 Hotline. Together, we can make a difference and save lives.

Idea: I like the idea of naming it “THE WHOLE VILLAGE” - it takes one: to raise one.(I’m telling the whole village,symbolizing and telling predators it will be found out and ending the child’s  shame.)
