The music behind the fight to return indoor busking at the St. Lawrence Market

Hello everyone,

I wanted to share a quick update and extend a massive thank you to all 364 of you (and counting) who have signed this petition to help bring indoor live music back to our historic market!

Some of you may know that my market busking sets featured a mix of covers and my own original music that so many market shoppers loved to listen to which always kept me going and why I miss playing at the Market so much.  So many of the original songs I performed there are from our original CD, which I recorded as part of a music duo (The Sianes) which for me represents the exact vibrant energy we are fighting to restore to the market floor:  https://www.dianesimone.com/

If you want to own a piece of the original soundtrack behind this movement and support my work directly while we push past the 400-signature mark and hopefully make it to 500 signatures very soon, you can listen here:

(Tomorrow is Bandcamp Friday (August, 7th) which just means the platform waives its entire fee so 100% of the music sale goes directly to the artist on this day, which is so important to independent artists like me to continue to make original music that is such a labour of love).

Thank you for keeping local music alive in Toronto, both on the streets, and in our headphones.

p.s. If you cannot buy a CD, you can still continue to support me by sharing  the petition to let us return to the beloved St. Lawrence Market, hopefully soon.

With  gratitude,  Diane :  )
