URGENT – PEOPLE OF WIRRAL WE NEED YOUR HELP!

The Leverhulme Public Planning Inquiry continues and on Tuesday 20th June and Wednesday 21st June the discussion will be regarding Transport Matters.

WE ARE CALLING FOR LOCAL PEOPLE to attend Tue 20th and/or Wed 21st to give the Inspector comments about Traffic issues for each of the Sites - fast, narrow, windy roads; poor pavements; poor Bus Service; poor Taxi service; blind spots; Accident Black Spots

Wirral Council and Leverhulme Estates have agreed that there will not be any network effects (local congestion, or effect on the M53). We really need local people to give their opinions.  What we could do with is, is a couple of public transport users to give an honest assessment on using the bus network in the area, and also the rail network / Heswall Station.

Also, some experience of cycling around the area would be helpful – the Leverhulme Estate witness has said in his proof that he thinks the roads are perfectly safe for cyclists. And also walking, particularly given the state of pavements and in some cases lack of pavements. Personal experience of any accidents, etc., would be useful.

Of course anything you say should be true, and your own personal experience if possible.

If you are able to attend and give your personal experience, please attend Wallasey Town Hall today (20th) or tomorrow (21st). Normally, the Inspector asks if any third parties want to say anything after the main witness has given evidence. Today is the WBC witness, tomorrow the LE witness. Witnesses, therefore, could be heard before lunch. The published programme is as follows.

Tuesday 20 June 10.00 AM Day 11 Leverhulme Transport Matters – Paul Parkhouse EIC – 1.5-2 hours  Leverhulme – 3 hours AM/PM

Wednesday 21 June 10.00 AM Day 12 Leverhulme Transport Matters – Alex Vogt EIC – 3 hours Wirral Council – 2-2.5 hours WGSA – 15 minutes AM/PM

Alternatively, if you are unable to attend you can email your experiences regarding transport to the Planning Inspector via inquiry@programmeofficers.co.uk

Thankyou for your help and support.
