Dear Supporters,

There is to be an Extraordinary Meeting of the full Wirral Council specifically to discuss the Hoylake Golf Resort - on Monday 25th February at Wallasey Town Hall.

This is a public meeting and will start at 6pm but we are urging as many people as possible to gather outside the Town Hall at 5.00pm to lobby Councillors and demonstrate against building the Hoylake Golf Resort and an estate of 160 luxury houses on the Green Belt in Hoylake.

If this project goes ahead it will set a very dangerous precedent for building on all of Wirral's Green Belt.

Please bring placards and banners. Get your children to make banners and bring the children along too! Tell your friends and family and encourage them to come along. Please share this event on Facebook and Social Media.

It is really important that as many people as possible attend the demonstration. It must be made clear to our Councillors that the people of Wirral DO NOT want the Council to build this golf resort on our precious Green Belt.

There is a very significant chance that, if enough Councillors vote against the Golf Resort at this meeting, then it can be stopped. Please do you utmost to attend the protest and the meeting to let the Councillors know that we will be watching how they vote. Please do not leave it to others to attend, they may be leaving it to you.

Please can you also take 10 minutes this weekend to email all the Councillors, particularly the Labour Councillors and urge them to vote to stop the golf resort at the meeting on the 25th Feb. Councillors are repeatedly stating that they want to protect ALL Green Belt - so tell them that actions speak louder than words. If they truly want to protect all green belt then they must vote to stop the golf resort and luxury housing estate on green belt land - we need them to know that we will be watching how they vote.

All the Councillors email addresses are listed below - just copy and paste the addresses - Councillors have told us that the more emails that they receive the more they are likely to listen and do the right thing - it takes just a few minutes. 

The meeting on the 25th is the biggest chance we have had so far to stop the resort. We need just a few Labour Councillors, together with the opposition parties, to vote against the resort and there is a very great chance that it could be stopped. So please, we urge you, send an email to the Councillors and attend the protest - it really could make a huge difference! Thank you for your support.
