Dear Supporters

At the Council meeting on Monday 10th Dec 2018, Councillors Allan Brame (Lib Dem) and Pat Cleary (Green) proposed a motion :"Time to End the Hoylake Golf Resort".

The Councillors had earlier voted for a "guillotine" so there was no debate on the motion. Unfortunately the motion was lost.

All the Labour Councillors and one independent (Moira McLaughlin) voted against the motion - apart from one who did not vote (Kate Cannon) and one who abstained (Christine Spriggs), effectively voting to continue with the Hoylake Golf Resort and Luxury Housing Estate on our Green Belt.

All the Conservatives, Lib Dems and the Green Councillor voted in favour of the motion. (apart from one Conservative and one independent who did not vote and the Mayor who abstained)

So when your Local Councillor promises you that they are totally against any Green Belt Development, and they will do ALL THEY CAN to prevent it, ask them whether they voted to continue with the Hoylake Golf Resort development at the Council Meeting.
