Giant Eagle commits to the Better Chicken Commitment!

I have great news to share! Giant Eagle, a supermarket chain in Indiana, Ohio, Pennsylvania, Maryland, and West Virginia with nearly 500 locations has adopted the Better Chicken Commitment for its Nature Basket line. This is a huge win for chickens—I suspect countless birds will be spared a life of absolute misery, filth, and cruelty as a result of this win. 

Let’s use this news to pressure Costco, who has become increasingly silent even after nationwide demonstrations took place in July outside of their stores demanding better for chickens. 

Please take 2 minutes today to make a phone call to Costco’s Headquarters (425-313-8100) alerting them that competitors like Giant Eagle are stepping up for animals or comment on Costco’s Facebook page demanding they follow in Giant Eagle’s footsteps in adopting the Better Chicken Commitment.
