Scranton and Lackawanna Homeowners are being required to make up 58 years of reassessment failures in the guise of property taxes. 2026 Tax bills are showing double and triple amounts from last year. This is a failure of the County and City Tax Assessor and the governments of Scranton and Lackawanna. NO VALID OR ACCEPTABLE REASON HAS BEEN GIVEN FOR THIS FAILURE EXCEPT THEY EXPECT US TO PAY UP.
