Please reconsider the requirement that income from self employment make up more than 50% of income in order to be able to claim the self employment grant. 

Person A is employed on a 40 hour contract and paid £600 a week.
When the virus hits, he is sent home with £480 a week, due to the coronavirus government job retention scheme.

Total loss £120 a week.

Person B works 40 hours self employed with average profits of £600 a week.
When the virus hits, he gets a grant of £480 a week from the government self employment protection scheme - he can also continue to work if able.

Total loss between £0 and £120 a week.

Person C is employed and works 40 hours for £360 a week. He also works 24 hours self employed and earns £240, for a total of £600 for 64 hours work.
When the virus hits, he is sent home from his employment with £288 a week, due to the coronavirus government job retention scheme.
But as the self employment portion of income is less than 50% of his total income he is not covered by the government self employment protection scheme at all. So despite previously working a 2 jobs and a 64 hour week..

Total loss £312 a week.

People work two jobs because they have to, not because they want to. Yet they are the ones losing the most!! The 50% condition of the help for self employed is unfair.
