Headwinds are gathering for the beleaguered Threemilestone Councillor originally from the Thames valley. Not content with offending July protesters (against mass urbanisation), then refusing to apologise to the public for her radio outbursts (as the Council’s Standards Committee demanded of her), and whilst supporting a huge new greenfield development between gridlocked Chiverton Cross and Treliske Hospital (against the wishes of a large proportion of her own Threemilestone electorate), LibDem Councillor Tudor has now lost a vital support to her doomed plans: Sanctuary Housing.

Perhaps this Housing company finally understood why other developers walked away, i.e. doomed strategy with only losses to be made, unless heavier subsidies are paid by Cornwall Council (from its future council tax receipts). Add that to the complete lack of infrastructure (promised years ago by the developers that walked), and already dangerously high levels of Nitrogen Dioxide levels along the Highertown/Gloweth area, and these ill-conceived plans for a 50% increase in the size of Truro's population are indeed pretty foolhardy.
With complete traffic chaos in the area already and Treliske emergency services struggling to reach the only major Cornish hospital for some time already, perhaps Councillor Tudor’s unrepentant mass urbanisation programme may be ill-advised after all, and it is she, not protestors at Lys Kernow, that have logic and common sense on board.
10-15,000 new residents at Langarth Farm/Chiverton Cross?
No thank you, Dulcie!
