Concerned residents calling for the creation of a public park at the top of Patrick's Hill
The Issue
Bell's Field is the large green space at the top of Patrick's hill overlooking Cork City. It is a tourist attraction and important recreation area for the residents of Cork City. It has the potential to be a great amenity for our local area but it is currently plagued by the following:
- Late night anti-social behaviour
- Illegal dumping
- Poor infrastructure
- Dog fouling
We are a group of local residents and community members that are calling for a plan of renewal works to be put in place by Cork City Council. This plan would transform the field into an enclosed public park and an amenity that we can all be proud of. The renewal works should include perimeter railings, footpaths, a children's playground, seating and landscaping. The new park would serve as a valuable resource for locals, businesses and tourists alike.
