I've heard about other city's and their fibre-optic speed is amazing and not available in Coquitlam. Let's face it internet in Coquitlam slow and overpriced.

For other ISPs to join the city they would be required to rent QNet's fiber line to do serve the city. Which according this particular reddit post resource (https://www.reddit.com/r/telus/comments/g0lfx7/current_2_year_offers_and_deciding_to_upgrade/fncbzqt?utm_source=share&utm_medium=web2x&context=3) QNet's lines aren't anywhere near the minimum requirement by Telus's standard.

Now we are in 2020 internet is exceedingly more important than ever I would urge everyone to sign this petition to upgrade our internet whether it be QNet upgrading their infrastructure and allow other ISPs to service the city, or other ISPs installing their fiber lines.
