Dear Coppell Neighbors, 🎉 Breaking Update: The Coppell ISD Board has decided to delay the vote to close Town Center Elementary until the end of October or later. This is a major win for our community — and a clear example of the power of engagement, unity, and respectful collaboration. 💪 What This Means • 🗣️ Your voices were heard. The board’s decision reflects leadership courage and a genuine commitment to listen to the community. • ⏳ More time for transparency. This pause gives CISD administrators the opportunity to complete a comprehensive study and ensure decisions are data-driven and fully accountable. • 👩‍💼 New leadership, new opportunity. The delay allows Dr. Leanne Shivers, our incoming CISD Superintendent, to lead the process thoughtfully and begin rebuilding community trust. ❤️ Why This Matters Our goal has never been simply to “keep TCE open forever.” It has always been to ensure any decision is made through a transparent, data-driven, and inclusive process — one that supports the long-term financial health of CISD and the future of Coppell’s families and neighborhoods. 🌟 What’s Next This is a positive step forward — and we remain excited, hopeful, and committed to working together toward solutions that strengthen our schools and our city. Thank you to every resident who signed, showed up, spoke out, researched, wrote, and cared. You’ve made a difference. Stay tuned for next steps and ways to stay engaged — we’re just getting started. Together, we’re building a better Coppell. #SaveTCE #CoppellStrong #CommunityInAction — Your Coppell Neighbors
