Conversion from Macy's to Round 1 Bowling & Amusement at Stonestown Galleria

The Issue

The unique idea that the outer San Francisco area doesn't have is a multi-recreational vendor like Round 1 Bowling & Amusement at Stonestown Galleria. Having one would result a gain in foot traffic and profitability for the Galleria, and help offer a wider variety of recreational options for the outer San Francisco and Daly City communities. Converting a portion of Macy's into Round 1 will benefit the Galleria and the outer communities of San Francisco and Daly City in the long run.

Round 1 is a multi-recreational chain that originated in Japan and began expanding to the United States in 2010. Their facilities combine the traditional western-style of arcade gaming, billiards, and darts, with Japanese-style vibes, implementing entertainment like ping-pong, karaoke, UFO catchers, and Japanese-exclusive arcade games. Today, there are 105 facilities in Japan and 39 locations in the United States (soon-to-be-opened facilities included).

By introducing Round 1 to Stonestown, I believe this would make the Galleria a destination spot, attracting diverse customers from the outer residential communities and even outside San Francisco and San Mateo counties. These include families from the outer San Francisco area, young adults, youth, and college students, like people like myself, within the SF area, and anyone curious or interested in Japanese culture looking to experience the unique vibe of the multi-recreational facility. This can result in an impressive amount of foot traffic that can eventually help out Stonestown Galleria overall.
