CONTINUE Funding for Lee Specialty Clinic and Others in KY!
The Issue
Lee Specialty Clinic in Louisville, Kentucky has secured temporary funding through the state. This clinic serves thousands of disabled individuals not only in our community but across the state and even neighboring areas. Patients, families and friends of the clinic are thrilled to know that it will remain open for the next fiscal year thanks to the work of our legislation.
But the work is not over. Governor Andy Beshear was able to make emergency adjustments to the budget to save this specific clinic and is continuing to fight for the rights and care of disabled Kentuckians. His solution however is only a band-aid over the actual problem. Now we need the support of the Kentucky General Assembly to restructure the annual budget so that way this essential clinic and others like it can continue to serve those who depend on them.
We have overcome a mountain by securing the funding needed right now. Our next goal is to secure future funding and prevent another crisis like this from happening again. The general assembly meets again in January of 2027, so we have until then to continue gaining their attention. This petition aims to amplify the voices of those who need these specialized services and bring them to the forefront of decision-making. Your support can make a difference in the lives of those who have a disability in Kentucky!
By securing funding for the future, we can keep Lee Specialty Clinic and others like it open indefinitely and serving our community. Thousands are counting on us. By acting together, we can ensure that our voices are heard where it matters most. I urge you all to sign this petition to help bring attention to this pressing issue and keep our specialty clinics funded for future generations!
