If you know Kevin Perjurer's Defunctland, you know their series DefunctTV. DefunctTV, which launched in 2018, focuses on the complete histories of obscure children's shows, specifically those from the 90s and 2000s. Such shows covered have included Bear in the Big Blue House and Dragon Tales. In 2019, Kevin did a six-part miniseries on the life of Jim Henson (1936 - 1990), the gentle genius behind The Muppets.

At the start of 2023, Kevin had just finished a DefunctTV special in which he found out that the late Alex Lasarenko wrote the iconic four-note Disney Channel theme, and tweeted his video plans for the year - a video on EPCOT Center and another one on the game show Deal or No Deal. His followers noticed something - no DefunctTV.

DefunctTV is a great series that should never end - people are longing to find out more about the shows they watched as kids. So many people, myself included, have learned so much from DefunctTV episodes. It's safe to say that DefunctTV is not just a webseries - it made me the kids' TV-loving person I am today (even though I've been a kids' TV fan all my life).
