Most of the year the lack of a pathway connecting our residents and amenities is not noticed by the motorists who live here.  But this week everybody has been affected. Yesterday morning an RTC involving several vehicles caused Chaul End Road to be closed off by the police. A 230 bus was stranded. Some passengers took their chances on foot but were injured slipping on the black ice on the road. Others sat on the bus for 2 hours, Children were unable to get to school. Taxis would not come out to them. Remaining passengers had to be taken home by the police.

The road remains closed off for several days. So rightly lots more residents are asking the question. Why is there no path or walkway to our doctors, our school, our church, our pharmacy, and other amenities?

This is crazy, one individuals objection having such a prolonged detrimental effect on a community. We were promised a path. It’s paid for, it’s wanted, it’s supported.

Please sign and share. Don’t accept this. The planning inspectorate and Defra need to take this on and stand up to those who are holding the community to ransom. Isolating us, and forcing residents to rely on this unreliable and dangerous road.
