The people of Caddington Parish need some good news. The latest parish council minutes tell us that the Heritage Greenway meeting has been postponed with an update pending. Postponement and delay seem to be a recurring theme on a project that was first announced nearly 10 years ago.

Can this continue? We learned also that the future of the free 230 bus service is in question. 12 months emergency funding. But what about after that? The main road that links our communities is blighted by extremely dangerous driving and potholes. Today a lorry accident at the junction with Hatters Way meant that people couldn’t get here. An extension to the road closure to Harpenden as well had inconvenienced residents for longer than expected.

We need something positive. It’s the future of our community and how we get around it safely.
