There you have it fellow supporters of the Caddington Heritage Greenway. Biggleswade are getting phase 2 of their Green Wheel path. Works starting September with completion in the Spring. If it wasn’t for the objection to our path order we would likely have been looking forward to our Heritage Greenway opening within a year of the order being published. The objector owns the land in the picture. As you can see the existing right of way has been decimated by the harvest (with the .gov website advises them not to do!). Such a source of ongoing frustration for local people. Unfortunately it’s a 2 year process if a compromise cannot be reached. Parish council minutes from last year state that the original route would need altering for the initial objection to be withdrawn. This was offered and still an objection came.
