I am a 13-year-old kid who loves mountain biking. My friend and I spent days building a jump trail, only to have our hard work destroyed when the council knocked down our jumps. This is not just about us; there are many mountain bikers in Glenmore Park, NSW who lack a dedicated space to practice and enjoy their sport. We need the council to build mountain bike trails in our park so we can ride safely without fear of losing our makeshift jumps.

Mountain biking is not only a recreational activity but also promotes physical fitness among young people like us. According to the Australian Bureau of Statistics, less than one-third of children aged 5-14 years participate in organized sports outside school hours. Having dedicated bike trails would encourage more kids to engage in this healthy outdoor activity.
