It provides an outlet for creativity, acting as a form of therapy that enhances mental health through the positive correlation between physical activity and psychological wellbeing. 

It's an exciting time for skateboarding - it has been recognised as an Olympic sport. This means that it's high time we provided advanced facilities to cater to the growing talent pool in Kensington and Chelsea and beyond. A state-of-the-art skatepark will match the caliber of the athletes and the international prominence skateboarding now demands.

Skateboarding's impact extends far. In countries such as Afghanistan, it has remarkably become the number one sport among women, highlighting its widespread reach and appeal.

The city of Malmö leads the way in embracing skate culture. Its adoption of a skateboarding coordinator and ensuring that its built environment caters to skaters bespeaks the potential of integrating skateboarding into urban planning.

We, the skaters, and supporters of the skating community in Kensington and Chelsea, propose the building of a leading-edge skatepark. Such an initiative will not only promote the physical and mental wellbeing of the users but also contribute to the global strides being made in the sport.
