Construct a Combined SEPTA Radnor Regional Rail NHSL Station

The Issue

As a regular commuter on SEPTA's massive network, I have experienced firsthand the inconvenience of changing from the SEPTA Radnor Regional Rail station to the Norristown High Speed Line (NHSL). Despite the NHSL line passing relatively close to the regional rail station, a substantial walk is often required, consuming considerable time and energy. The convenience of rail transit should not be undermined by such inadequacies. A case in point is the seamless integration seen with Clifton-Aldan Regional Rail station that boasts a direct connection to old "Red Arrow" trolley lines (Routes 101 and 102). In the same vein, a SEPTA Radnor station re-design promising a direct interchange between the Regional Rail and NHSL services would significantly enhance the convenience and utilisation of public transport. SEPTA has a moral and social obligation to ensure its services are not only efficient but also accessible, particularly for older citizens, people with disabilities, and those carrying heavy luggage. Such improvement can be crucial in reducing traffic congestion, lowering greenhouse gas emissions, and promoting healthy, sustainable cities. Stand with me today to urge SEPTA to build a new Radnor station with a direct connection between services. Let's champion efficient and seamless public transportation. Please sign this petition.
