We have come across what we shall put as questionable reasoning for voters being put on provisional ballots, and being denied the right to vote in states with closed primaries and caucuses.

This is supposed to be a democratic system. A system that allows your voice to be heard. These states that do not allow open primary voting must be switched over to open primaries immediately. 

It is our right as citizens of this country to vote for who we want without having to do so based on party ties. A registered democrat should be able to vote republican, and registered republicans should be allowed to to vote democrat in primaries. Independents should be allow to vote for either party in primaries. 

We as citizens should not have to re-register into the party that has the candidate we are supporting in each election cycle. This is an old and tiresome way that must be abolished.
