I am a deeply concerned citizen who has witnessed the West Babylon Board of Education make troubling decisions that are harming the heart of our community - our children, our future. Most alarming of these decisions is the proposed closure of an important local forest avenue elementary school under the guise of financial necessity. This potential action is a stark symptom of ongoing financial mismanagement, directly affecting our children's education and prompting questions about their stewardship.

Under their oversight, they seem to treat our educational institutions as disposable variables in a flawed equation of mismanaged budgeting, aggregated over time. The closure of the elementary school, rather than stepping back and reassessing financial operations and strategies, reveals a lack of control and accountability in the proper use of community resources. However, we, the residents of West Babylon, strongly believe in transparency and seek truth, respect, and just operation of our educational system.
