Conduct an Audit of the West Babylon Board of Education

The Issue

I am a deeply concerned citizen who has witnessed the West Babylon Board of Education make troubling decisions that are harming the heart of our community - our children, our future. Most alarming of these decisions is the proposed closure of an important local forest avenue elementary school under the guise of financial necessity. This potential action is a stark symptom of ongoing financial mismanagement, directly affecting our children's education and prompting questions about their stewardship.

Under their oversight, they seem to treat our educational institutions as disposable variables in a flawed equation of mismanaged budgeting, aggregated over time. The closure of the elementary school, rather than stepping back and reassessing financial operations and strategies, reveals a lack of control and accountability in the proper use of community resources. However, we, the residents of West Babylon, strongly believe in transparency and seek truth, respect, and just operation of our educational system.

Stand with me in calling for an independent audit on the West Babylon Board of Education. We need to ensure that adequate measures are being taken towards financial responsibility and oversight that prioritizes our children's educational needs above anything else.

It’s time we raise our voices against this pattern of mismanagement. Let us make them accountable for their decisions. Please sign this petition and urge for a prompt audit into the financial activities of the West Babylon Board of Education.
