Every year awards are rightly given to our children for their miraculous actions in first aid events, events that l a child should not normally have to deal with, yet it is not compulsory for schools to give 1 day emergency first aid training to all children in each year of their education.

Our children are all to often the first responder and life saver in an emergency yet we are not empowering them with the knowledge and skills to deal with such an emergency.

By ensuring children complete 1 day emergency first aid training every year that they are in education it will empower them and all generations onwards to be equipped to save lives as the first responder in childhood and adulthood.

let’s remember being the first responder is not a choice but equipping our children with the skills they need when such an unplanned emergency occurs is.
