Schulman's Office is Aware & Contact the School Construction Authority
Thank you to everyone who has signed, shared and promoted the petition! It's amazing seeing the neighborhood come together over a common cause. I have a few updates since I started the petition last week:
I spoke with Lynn Schulman's office earlier this week. They were aware of the construction delay and the petition, a testament to everyone who got the word out. I learned that the construction is under the NYC School Construction Authority (NYCSCA). My contact in Schulman's office said that they had been in touch with the NYCSCA. The construction was on schedule until they encountered an issue, possibly at a water line. Schulman's office said they would inquire for more details.
Schulman's office said the new scheduled completion time is September 2026. Let's hold them to it.
The day after I spoke with Schulman's office, NYCSCA employees were on site, but as anyone who walks by the school knows, construction has not begun again in earnest.

- Keep sharing the petition, especially with groups of parents of students at Russell Sage. They shouldn't have to lose the school yard for another season.
