The university's negligence in its cyber security measures have resulted in thousands of students and staff sensitive personal information being stolen, like banking account information, social insurance numbers, and more.

The university's solution? You're on your own, but here's two free years of a credit monitoring service, for our mistake. That's it. 

Sure, a credit monitoring service is helpful, but the absurd amount of fees students pay every single year to the university have gone to waste. Students and faculty members are stressed out, scared, and the university remains careless.

Not to mention that hackers who have accessed our information can still access and use it after our "2 years of credit monitoring" expires. 

It's time for the university to be responsible for their negligence. We propose a minimum $500 payout to all students and staff affected.
