As a deeply concerned parent, I am compelled to speak out about my son Joseph being subjected to an unacceptable level of neglect in his foster home under the direct supervision of foster person and the foster agency Cardinal McClousky. Our many visiting days have ended in emergency or urgent care due to the harmful environment and lack of care.

This story is not ours alone. According to the Children's Rights organization, in 2019 over 1,700 children died from abuse and neglect in the U.S., representing an utterly tragic situation that goes unchecked and unreported in countless cases. In New York, the very heart of our nation's most populous city, our children are suffering inconceivable neglect within the foster care system.

This petition therefore calls on the ACS Commissioner's office to end the use of Foster Care as punishment and ensure a complete crackdown on Foster Care neglect. We demand that our son Joseph be removed from his current residence and a thorough investigation opened into Cardinal McClousky for allowing and concealing my son's neglect. We as signatories urge the Commissioner not to stand by while children in the foster care system are subjected to such harsh realities. We plead for urgency, responsiveness, and most importantly, for change.
