We are in the thick of the cost of living crisis, but volunteers are doing their best to help alleviate the burden, at local level throughout the country. Volunteers are doing great self-less service for the needy and venerable, they are truly God sent angels. As a country we must be proud of them and we must recognise their self-less service with love and respect. As far as I know there is not a National/International Volunteers Day where volunteers themselves are celebrated and rewarded, I hope this can be put into place soon, a national compassion fund could help achieve this.
