Because of you, the people of Banning are one step closer to having their voices heard.

Today, we are thrilled to share incredible news:

Every Sunset Crossroads referendum petition has officially qualified.

After completing its signature verification, the Riverside County Registrar of Voters certified the following results:

🩷 Ordinance 1618 (Pink): 2,379 valid signatures
💛 Ordinance 1619 (Yellow): 2,378 valid signatures
💚 Ordinance 1620 (Green): 2,369 valid signatures

That is an astounding 7,126 valid signatures—a nearly 94% validity rate!

This is an incredible achievement, and it belongs to all of you.

Every signature gathered, every donation made, every conversation with a neighbor, every hour volunteered, every petition circulated, and every word of encouragement helped make this possible. Together, we proved what can happen when a community unites around a common purpose.

What Happens Next?
Now the decision returns to the Banning City Council.

The Council must choose to either:

• Rescind the Sunset Crossroads project approvals, or
• Call an election and let the voters of Banning decide.

The City has confirmed this item is scheduled for the City Council Meeting at 5 PM Tuesday, July 14.

If you’re able to attend, your presence matters. A strong community turnout reminds our elected officials that residents care deeply about protecting Banning’s future and ensuring the public has a voice in this decision.

Thank You
This milestone belongs to every volunteer, donor, signer, supporter, and neighbor who believed that the people of Banning deserve a voice.

From the bottom of our hearts, thank you for standing with us.

We’re not finished yet, but today is a day to celebrate what we have accomplished together. Because of your dedication, the future of Sunset Crossroads is now one step closer to being decided by the people—not just for the people.

Please continue sharing this campaign with your family, friends, and neighbors, and encourage them to stay informed as we move into this next important chapter.

Together, we have come this far. Together, we’ll continue standing up for Banning.
