Together, we did something truly extraordinary.
On May 26th, PASS Alliance officially submitted over 7,500 signatures across three referendum petitions to the City of Banning.
What began as neighbors coming together in concern and care became a powerful community-led movement fueled by dedication, courage, and countless volunteer hours.
Thank you to all who have participated in this effort. From gathering signatures in the heat, to speaking with residents door-to-door, to helping organize, educate, and support one another — this achievement belongs to every single person who showed up for our community.
Yesterday marked an important milestone in this journey. The petitions were officially counted and transported under police escort to the Riverside County Registrar of Voters for the next stage of verification.
We would also like to extend a special thank you to City Manager Elizabeth Gibbs, City Attorney Phaedra Norton, the Banning Police Department, and City staff who assisted throughout the process with professionalism, respect, and kindness.
We are deeply grateful to every volunteer, resident, supporter, signer, donor, and community member who helped make this possible. Your voices mattered. Your time mattered. Your presence mattered.
This effort has always been about community, transparency, informed participation, and ensuring residents have a voice in decisions that shape the future of the San Gorgonio Pass region.
