Since her arrival in Canada in 2016 as an international student, Kadiatou has shown exceptional dedication and perseverance. She successfully completed her studies at Université de Saint-Boniface, earning a diploma in business administration in June 2019. Following her graduation, she was granted a post-graduate open work permit, which allowed her to enter the workforce and contribute meaningfully to society. Through her professional experience, Kadiatou integrated into the labor market, demonstrating her commitment to building a stable and productive life in Canada. Kadiatou’s involvement has strengthened our community’s sense of inclusion and showcased the rich multicultural fabric that defines Canada. Kadiatou is the sole caregiver of her Canadian-born son, Fode Mamadou, who was born in September 2024. As a devoted mother, she has taken every possible step to ensure that her son has a stable and nurturing environment in which to grow. Her son’s best interests must be prioritized, as his future is intrinsically tied to Kadiatou’s ability to remain in Canada. A forced return to Guinea would present insurmountable challenges for Kadiatou and her son. Without a reliable support system in Guinea, she would be left in a precarious position, unable to provide for her child’s essential needs.Guinea is currently experiencing significant economic instability, with rising unemployment rates and a lack of accessible social services. Returning to Guinea would severely impact Kadiatou’s ability to secure employment and provide for her son.

Furthermore she would face additional hardships in a society where women often struggle to achieve financial independence. The absence of a stable income and social infrastructure would directly affect her son’s access to healthcare, education, and other vital services that are readily available to him in Canada as a Canadian citizen. Beyond the economic challenges, the emotional and psychological impact of being forced to leave Canada would be devastating for both Kadiatou and her son. Separating them or placing them in an environment where their future would be uncertain would cause long-term emotional distress. Kadiatou’s well-being and mental health are closely connected to her ability to provide a secure home for her child. Any disruption to this stability would have profound consequences, not only for Kadiatou but also for Fode Mamadou, whose life in Canada would be irrevocably altered.Kadiatou’s contributions to Canadian society extend beyond her immediate family. She has proven herself to be a committed and active member of her community, consistently demonstrating resilience and determination to succeed. Her academic accomplishments,work experience, and strong community ties exemplify the qualities of a responsible and engaged resident. Given the opportunity to remain in Canada, Kadiatou would continue to contribute positively to society, further integrating herself into the country’s economic and social fabric. She has already laid a strong foundation, and granting her permanent residence would allow her to build upon these efforts, ensuring that she can support her son independently and become an even more valuable member of the community. Returning to Guinea would undo years of hard work and dedication and expose her to significant emotional and financial stress. It would leave her vulnerable to the uncertainties of a country with fewer opportunities and a significantly lower quality of life.This would be particularly detrimental to her young son, who is a Canadian citizen and deserves to grow up in a secure and nurturing environment with access to quality education, healthcare, and opportunities.

Kadiatou’s story is one of resilience, determination, and hope. Despite the numerous challenges she has faced, she has worked tirelessly to overcome them and build a meaningful life in Canada. Her vision is to provide her son with a secure and nurturing environment, contribute positively to the Canadian economy, and continue fostering connections within her community. Her journey exemplifies the very principles of perseverance and optimism that Canada celebrates.
