A huge thank you to everyone who has signed and shared our petition so far. Your support is making a difference, but our work is not done.
The city is currently planning to install even more barricades. I spoke with city officials today and made our position very clear: we will only accept the complete removal of these barriers.
Here is our next update and immediate call to action:
Official Letter Sent: We officially delivered our follow-up letter to the city today. We are currently awaiting their formal response. Please keep calling 311 and emailing slowstreets@vancouver.ca
As frustrating as this is we need to stay focused and calm and keep pushing.
Keep Sharing: (no donations are required) Please continue to share the petition link and your stories with your networks to keep the pressure on.
Graphic Artist Needed: I am looking for a volunteer graphic designer to help create posters. These will feature a QR code and a direct link to the petition.
Flyer Distribution: Once the posters are ready, I will personally distribute them to every resident in the immediate area.
My focus has been on:
Windermere and Parker
Parker and Nootka
Charles and Lillooet
Nanaimo and Charles area
Please post pictures/videos of the areas that you are affected by.
If you can assist with the graphic design work, please reach out to me directly, or drop into Sooyo Cafe and connect with Henry. Thank you for standing strong!
