This is being written by a current serving police officer of the met who's had enough of the hypocrisy in the met that the shocking so called leader has turned it into.

Surely it's finally time for the COMMISSIONER of the MET POLICE to be on restricted duties himself by the Professional standards unit (PSU) Or Director of professional standards ( DPS ) for his latest awful decision he's made on MONDAY 5TH AUGUST 2024? 

SIR ROWLEY would appear to have committed 2 CRIMINAL OFFENCES namely Common assault / Criminal damage where by he has unlawfully grabbed a microphone out of a reporters hand and broke it. There was no need for physical contact where the news reporter was not in his face nor moving closer to him! 

SIR ROWLEY currently has a target of getting 1000 officer out of the MET most of which have not even committed a crime! There Is around 800 officers currently on suspension or restricted duties where by officers are not public facing. Most officers do not need to be restricted and can actually help towards on going riots or maybe actually getting to 999 calls Instead of turning up hours later or doing it over the phone!

Lots of officers have already been sacked for absolutly nothing just so he can get the numbers up to appease the media. Most experienced officers are looking to leave as they are not backed up by leadership and knows we can no longer look after the public especially if in fear anything we do gets us sacked ( Unless rank of course it seems ) 

Like baroness Casey said the institutional problems are sitting with high ranked officers. In one borough alone 6 SLT leaders ( senior leadership team ) are suspended or restricted in the last year alone from offenses ranging from drugs, sexual offences or fraud. However as they are of rank they will not appear on the media or if they do are rapidly taken down within hours..... But if you're a POLICE CONSTABLE you're in the media 24/7 named and shamed before even guilty. One set of rules for one and one for the other. 

Internally most POLICE CONSTABLES on the streets are good and hard working officers who all have families to go back to. When things kick off up town they are controlled what to do by senior officers who are also probably too scared to lose there job if not flavour of the month in the press. 

It's about time the police become law and order again like the great Sir Robert Peel once created, or if we are going to continue being soft and woke then the leaders need the same punishment as they would give to their police officer! The corruption of the met it getting worse and stories covered up will soon be advertised.

SIR ROWLEY if you lose your job you will always be set for life with your paypacket ..... What about hundreds of your OWN officers you have sacked and barred destroying good officers lives and now you commit crime and can get away with it??

The MET response was that sir Rowley was "IN A RUSH" What a load of rubbish it was a clear unnecessary act of criminality with NO LAWFUL EXCUSE OR JUSTIFICATION.

Your new recruitment campaign is called CHANGE. We all agree and CHANGE starts with you SIR ROWLEY. Leave and APOLOGISE for the abysmal behaviour towards what is supposed to be your second family for the sheer failings you have created.

We can't look after ourselves then we can't look after the public!

ENOUGH IS ENOUGH QUIT YOUR JOB AND BE ASHAMED OF HOW YOU DESTROYED THE MET.
