The City of Detroit is going through tough times and the Detroit Firefighters are left paying out of pocket for expenses such as cable TV, internet and materials for maintaining the firehouses. As a resident of the City and a Comcast customer, I was hoping that Comcast would be interested in providing cable and internet service to show appreciation for these men and women who put their lives on the line each and every day for the citizens of Detroit. Unfortunately, at this time, Comcast has refused to provide courtesy services to the City’s 40 firehouses for unspecified reasons.

I am hoping that this petition will change the minds of those at Comcast and form a corporate community partnership with the Detroit Fire Department.
