Thank you for signing the petition! We are in meetings and open dialogue with the county commissioners. But we need that last extra push! Below is the contact information on each commissioner and the county judge. Please use the below outline to send an individual email to your precinct commissioner (this is just an outline, adjust or write you own as you see fit). Their phone numbers are also below - please call them, if you don't get them, leave a direct voice message stating your desire to repeal this ordinance, your name, and that you are a registered voter! And continue to forward this to your friends. Also, commissioners court is every Thursday at 8:30am at Comal County Court House, 100 Main Plaza, New Braunfels, TX. Commissioners court usually last no longer than 30 minutes, there is a portion of commissioners court where any citizen can speak their opinions - stop by, tell them to repeal the ordinance. The more touch points we get at this critical juncture the better. Contact Info: Judge Sherman Krause P: 830-221-1105 E: krause@co.comal.tx.us Precinct 1: Donna Eccleston P: 830-221-1101 E: cctdme@co.comal.tx.us Precinct 2: Scott Hague P: 830-221-1102 E: haagsc@co.comal.tx.us Precinct 3: Kevin Webb P: 830-221-1103 E: webbke@co.comal.tx.us Precinct 4: Jen Crownover P: 830-221-1104 E: crownj@co.comal.tx.us Sample Letter/Email: Dear Commissioner, My name is ___________________ I am a registered voter in your precinct. I have researched Comal County Ordinance 422825, along with signing a petition to repeal this ordinance, I am writing you directly to request that you take specific action to repeal or adjust this ordinance and give back property rights to individual land owners, and their communities in the unincorporated areas of the county - to be good stewards of the whitetail deer population. The multitude of issues presented by a whitetail deer overpopulation is evident throughout Comal County, including but not limited to safety hazards from vehicle collisions, wasted taxpayer dollars on cleanup and county property damage, wasted taxpayer dollars on law enforcement calls to deer human interaction scenes when they need to focus on greater safety concerns, disease for the deer, pets, and humans, direct physical threats to children, pets, and adults, along with costly private property damage in the millions! Texas Parks and Wildlife Department supports all manners of managing this resource by any legal means available – and routinely trains communities and others on utilizing bow hunting as a safe and humane management practive. Ordinance 422825 was an ill advised and misguided enactment and overreach of authority by the county 20+ years ago! Ordinance 422825 limits the rights and ability of voters in Comal County to decide what is best in our own communities and on our own property. Ordinance 422825 represents a disregard for our rights as citizens, our rights to freely manage our own property and follow the laws of the state of Texas that allow us to utilize bow hunting for the management of this resource. Sincerely, Voter
