In Colorado, we enjoy the outdoors. We love our beautiful environment. So why do we continue to litter it and decrease its beauty? I want to place a $0.10 fee on each plastic or paper bag used at stores to deter people from using them.

There's no lie in saying that plastic bags litter our state's streets, beaches, parks, and just communities in general. In Denver alone, residents consume over 130 million disposable bags every year at grocery and convenience stores alone. The majority of these bags are used only once and then disposed.
